It feels like we just had Thanksgiving, but we are already onto Christmas party season. First up, our annual barn Christmas party.
It feels like we just had Thanksgiving, but we are already onto Christmas party season. This past weekend, Andy and I attended the annual Christmas party at our new barn. I don't know what we expected, but it certainly wasn't the beautifully decorated and thoughtfully organized dinner party we walked into. It was arguably one of the best Christmas parties we've ever been to—not even just the best barn Christmas party.
The indoor arena was transformed into a beautiful banquet hall complete with delicious food and good company. I did not take enough pictures to fully capture how magical it was!
As the night progressed and guests trickled out, the rest of us had an idea to see what the horses would think of the 9' inflatable horse...
Violet was great. She was reasonably snorty and apprehensive about the new horse in her arena. But, she appeased me by getting close enough for a picture. Peep her scanning the crowd for help in the video.
Please ignore the state of Violet's coat. It was an unseasonably warm day, so she was outside in a bit of rain earlier and took that opportunity to roll in the mud. Yay winter.
No horses were harmed in the making of this content. She was well-compensated for her time with peppermints and carrots.
